We are so excited to welcome you back (or for the first time) to Rocky Mount for what is sure to be another great year. In an effort to keep you updated about happenings at Rocky Mount, we are launching the RoadRunner Newsletter this year. Win fun prizes with our September
PTA membership drive

Help us meet our PTA goal this year of 660 members. Because you are already a valued member, your family and any other members that join/donate in September, will be entered in a drawing to win great prizes such as gift cards to All Fired Up Ceramics, passes to Xdrenaline, free laser tag or bumper cars at Stars N' Strikes, passes to Monster Golf, a free ice cream cone at Brusters, gumball coin banks and more. We'll draw names for prizes when we reach 85%, 90%, 95% and 100% of our goal. Check out our oversized gumball machine in the lobby to see how close we are to goal. We appreciate your support!

Teacher Favorites Forms are
Now Available Online?

Get to know your teachers a little better. Faculty and staff favorites forms are now available online. No need to come to school to get a physical copy anymore.

Bruster's Spirit Night

Beat the heat and cool off with some yummy Bruster's ice cream served by Rocky Mount teachers on Wednesday, September 11 from 4-7pm at the Trickum location. Every purchase helps benefit Rocky Mount. We hope to see you there.

Carpool Heroes and Dunkin Donut
Volunteers Needed 

We're always looking for volunteers to help benefit Rocky Mount students and staff. One current area of need is with morning carpool. Carpool wait times decrease by up to 6 minutes when we have additional help. All parents, grandparents, relatives... anyone is invited to volunteer any day during the week from 7- 7:45am. This opportunity is early enough that it shouldn't interfere with work. 

The 5th Grade sells donuts as one way to raise money for their Legacy Gift at the end of the year. We need donut volunteers to help count orders as they come in and to help sort and deliver donuts on the delivery dates. You do not have to be a 5th grade parent to volunteer. Everyone is welcome.

Box Tops Goes Digital 

Box Tops has made some great changes to their program. NO MORE CLIPPING is required. Simply download their app, "Box Tops for Education" and scan your receipts within 14 days of purchase. The app recognizes items that offer box tops on your receipt and instantly applies funds to the Rocky Mount's earnings. 

We are still accepting clipped boxed tops until they are phased out, so please continue to send those in addition to scanning the receipts. The first collection date for clipped Box Tops is September 20. 

Did you miss something from the Tuesday Folder? 

Not to worry. The Rocky Mount website gives you access to all the information included in Tuesday folders digitally on the Rocky Mount website at rockymountelem.com. 

PTA cards to be emailed soon

Your PTA card is now digital. In the next week or two, you should receive an email from no-reply@memberhub.com with information on how to access your PTA card. Simply print it out or save it to your phone and show it at the these local retailers to receive great discounts.
